TO THE RAUFNK AND TO THE BRUŠERSKI ŠKAF

Start your trip with a visit to the interactive exhibition at the Hg Smelting Plant which boasts the world's largest rotary kiln for burning mercury. From there, continue your journey to the top of the smelting plant, where you will walk along the famous Rudarska Street – a traditional complete working-class neighbourhood built with mining apartment blocks and houses, and follow the mountaineering markings that will lead you above the smelting plant. The sign for Raufnk will direct you right to the forest path, and after a good half hour's walk you will reach the goal from where you will have a wonderful view of Idrija. Continue the route (follow the signs) to Brušerski škaf, where you will return in a circular way back to Idrija and to the starting point.
